Our nickel etching follows a state-of-the-art photochemical etching (PCE) process:
Material Selection & Preparation: Sourcing high-quality nickel or nickel alloy sheets (e.g., Nickel 200/201, Inconel, Monel). The sheet is thoroughly cleaned.
Photoresist Lamination: A uniform layer of UV-sensitive photoresist is applied to both sides.
Exposure: The sheet is exposed to UV light through a phototool (film mask) containing the precise part design.
Development: The unexposed resist is dissolved, revealing the nickel surface in the areas to be etched.
Chemical Etching: The sheet is sprayed with a specialized etchant, which precisely removes exposed metal to form the desired features.
Resist Stripping & Cleaning: The remaining photoresist is removed, and parts are thoroughly cleaned.
Finishing & QC: Parts may receive additional finishing (e.g., plating, passivation) and undergo rigorous dimensional and visual inspection.
